Gir Cow

One of the best breed of the cows of Gujarat, Gir Cows are largely demanded by various dairies. These cows have very high fertility and produces great quantity of milk. These are moderate to large in size and are entirely brown in color. The average milk yielding capacity of these cows ranges from 1590 to 2000 liters per year. These have shiny body and are free from any threatening health conditions. Their horns set well on their head with really thick base but not too long. Gir Cows have long pendulous ears which are long and resemble leaves that are curled up.
